Rule n° 180 - The graphic charter is consistent across all pages.
A site can be beautiful or ugly, it's subjective. Its graphic universe must in any case be coherent, so as not to give the impression to users that they have just switched to another site.
Goal
- Ensure consistency and continuity while visiting and navigating.
- Provide continuous identification of the visited online service.
Solution technique
Use stylesheets common to the whole website, which has the effect of improving the overall consistency of the website.
Moyen de contrôle
In the course of checks on best practice:
- Ensure that the website uses the same graphic elements on all pages, paying particular attention that navigation menus are present and also paying attention to their location, to the colour of sections in the website, the width of pages and the consistency of the overall graphical charter used for titles and for text.
The check can also be carried out upstream of the project, during the design of the graphic models, or downstream of the project during the final integration to check that this best practice has not deteriorated due, for example, to the implementation of third-party services
