Rule n° 173 - Subscribing to newsletters is subject to a confirmation process.
Spam is bad enough, do not give it a boost. Make sure that the registration for your newsletter can only be made by the true holder of the email address.
Goal
- Prevent third parties from subscribing someone else to a newsletter.
- Check that the email address was input correctly.
Solution technique
Send an email allowing registration to be completed by entering a password, clicking on a hyperlink, etc.

- Perform a test registration and check for the receipt of a confirmation email.
